HOW IS THE GROUP FUNDED?

Destroyed in the mid 20th century, The Holy Well, King's Newton, was rebuilt in new stone by Melbourne Civic Society in 1984/5. Photograph by Edward Martin on a postcard. Since the Group's beginning in the Spring of Year 2000, the funding profile - in order of receipt date - has been as follows:
  • Members' and Patrons' donations;
  • Melbourne Civic Society;
  • Donations for talks given by Chairman and group members;
  • Derbyshire County Council's Community Leadership Fund;
  • Local Heritage Initiative grant;
  • Melbourne Parish Council;
  • Melbourne Fete & Carnival (including Chairman's Award);
  • The National Forest.
